On Saturday the 20th July, Outreach Radio presents the Big Summer Party at the Romsey Royal British Legion Club.

Bringing you the hottest sounds of the summer, DJ’s from Outreach Radio will bring the sunshine to you with the best music and entertainment.

Dress to impress in your summer outfits, and you could win a prize.

Tickets are just £6.50 per person, which includes VAT & booking fee.

The Bootleg Shadows

All the hits including Apache, Footapper, Dance On, Riders in The Sky, and Cavatina  as well as some familiar Cliff hits and a few surprises!

For anyone who loves the sounds of the 60’s – and enjoys a few laughs on the way – Bootleg Shadows perform a unique tribute that has audiences humming the tunes and doing the Shadows famous ‘walk’ long after they have left the theatre.

This is their 19th year of performing the Hits of The Shadows and Cliff, and the band plays up and down the UK in Theatres and Art Centres!

Organized by Toni-Anne Blight of Archie Bears, the fair promises to be a haven for bear lovers of all ages, offering a treasure trove of cuddly companions, vintage finds, and everything you need to care for and accessorize your beloved bears.

Prepare to be enchanted by a diverse array of one-of-a-kind, original bears and their talented creators, including bear artists from all over. From whimsical designs to timeless classics, there’s something for every bear aficionado. Vintage bear enthusiasts will delight in perusing the selection of cherished collectibles, while those with a knack for craftsmanship can explore materials, fabrics, and components for creating their own bear masterpieces.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Teddy bear clothing, restoration services, and even bespoke furniture for bears will be available, ensuring that every aspect of bear care and enjoyment is covered.

In addition to the abundance of bear-related delights, attendees will have the opportunity to support a worthy cause. All of this year’s bear fairs will be holding raffles to raise funds for Meningitis UK, offering attendees the chance to give back while enjoying a day filled with bear-themed fun.

Refreshments will be available, ensuring that both visitors and stallholders can enjoy a pleasant experience from start to finish. Best of all, there is no charge to enter the fairs for visitors, making them accessible to all.

Jazz & Gin Festival

Jazz and Latin band “East of Meon”, first formed in the village of East Meon and local gin specialists Dampney’s Remarkable Drinks are collaborating next month at Wylds Farm, near Liss.

The “Jazz and Gin event, on the evening of Saturday June 15, promises to be a night full of entertainment thrumming to the sounds of jazz from the canons of such greats as Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, and Freddie Hubbard to the  upbeat Latin grooves of Stevie Wonder and Santana to get you moving on the dance floor.

The band “East of Meon” , consists of keyboard player Marcus Hill, double bassist Andy Coe, conga player Nigel Hosking, drummer Paul Canton, and led by East Meon Saxophonist and founder of the band Kati Whitaker.

And of course, what better way to enjoy the music than with a complimentary glass of Dampneys extraordinary specialist gin to go with your picnic? (Other drinks available of course!!).
